Howard Goodley was an amazing artist who rode the New York City subway to work every day. Instead of just looking out the window, he used his time to draw the people he saw on the train. He kept a little sketchbook and would finish a drawing before he got off at his stop.
Howard didn’t draw famous people—he drew real people, just like you and me. People who were tired, thinking, smiling, or just sitting quietly. His pictures show what it’s really like to ride the subway in New York City.
